Wyoming Community Navigator’s Business Success Webinars to Mark National Economic Development Week

In recognition of National Economic Development week, the Wyoming Community Navigator Program will showcase webinars and trainings offered by its economic development partners who are working together to create and maintain strong local economies.

The Wyoming Small Business Development Center will be hosting webinars aimed at supporting the restaurant industry in Wyoming, and helping small businesses improve their marketing.

Former professional chef and restaurant business consultant Deagon Williams is presenting two webinars targeting restaurant owners. On May 2nd, Williams will discuss common challenges restaurants face such as staffing, retention, and dealing with rising costs. On May 4th, Williams will help restaurant owners analyze their financials in order to be successful and profitable.

Branding and marketing consultant Liz Jamieson will be presenting webinars focusing on identifying your ideal target customer on May 5th and how to get more leads and increase sales on May 19th.

“National Economic Development Week is a time to recognize the critical role our Community Navigator partners play in creating vibrant and sustainable communities throughout Wyoming,” said Nicholas Giraldo, Program Manager for the Wyoming Community Navigator Program.

Additionally, the Wyoming Women’s Business Center will be hosting several webinars. These will include information on how to start your own business on May 3rd, an introduction to their online digital marketing course GeekPack on May 9th, how to access money for your business on May 23rd and a webinar in Spanish on how female entrepreneurs can overcome imposter syndrome on May 11th.

According to Christine Langley, Business Education Director for the Wyoming Women’s Business Center, “National Economic Development Week is an important reminder of how important it is to create opportunities for women entrepreneurs. As women entrepreneurs succeed, they often invest back into their communities through philanthropy, job creation, and mentorship, further contributing to the overall well-being of their communities.”

Working collaboratively both within the Community Navigator Program and the greater business resource network has also shown Langley the critical role Wyoming’s economic development partners play in creating vibrant and thriving communities.

“It’s almost overwhelming all the entrepreneurial support being offered around the state. It’s a great time to start a business,” said Langley.
